How about a job that doesn’t work that many days in a row? There are careers where a 5-day work week is not the usual schedule. Working in these fields will not shield you from hard work -- far from it -- but many working in these fields haven’t worked a 5-day week in years.
Police officer: 4-day work week. Many patrol officers are required to work a 10-hour day, but they only work four days a week.
Hospital nurse: 3-day work week. Many hospitals schedule two 12-hour nursing shifts a day. That’s a long day, but the pay off is a 3-day work week.
Firefighter: 2-day work week. Two 24-hour days, followed by four/five days off.
Now not everyone in these fields have these particular deals, for instance most detectives work a 5-day week and many nurses don’t work at hospitals, still if days off is your goal, these careers are worth checking out.
