Gasoline thefts are up! At $4 a gallon is it any wonder? Thieves are sneaking up to cars in the middle of the night and siphoning out the gas. It's a crime that takes just a few minutes but can net a quick 50 bucks.

So what should you do? Well, back in the day -- the gas crises of the early 1970s -- most Californians bought locking gas caps. Something we should start considering.

Oh my! It's pretty shameful to do such act. I agree with the lock caps, but there are also other things that can be done. How about a secure area for refueling? Fueling companies can also renovate areas where they can fill their customers' gas tanks, for security reasons.
