The Tooth Fairy is being squeezed by the economy! Jason Alderman, personal finance expert and the director of San Francisco based Visa’s financial literacy programs has released survey results showing even the magical Tooth Fairy is not immune from the lingering economic downturn. The results show that nationally, the Tooth Fairy has cut back, leaving just $2.60 per tooth this year, down from $3 in 2010. Things are a bit better in the Bay Area where the tooth Fairy is leaving $2.80.

2.60 a tooth. I can recall when I received .50 for each. Inflation I guess.
