Discover ends disposable credit card number program

Discover Card has had a really cool feature where when used online the credit card number changed. Every purchase, a different number. That stops the thieves. But now the Discover people have called a halt to the program. If I had to guess, we all said we wanted it, but then few actually used it. Sorry to hear they ended the program. Sounds like another great way to try and stay one step ahead of thieves. I assume there was a lot more to it like fees that deterred many from actually trying it.

Ya, it is too bad that they removed this program. Now our cards are more accessible to thieves and hackers. I hope that they come up with another program to replace this.
