A new Facebook scam is claiming the social network now lets you see who has visited your profile. This is false. Facebook will never let you do this, and you should not install apps claiming to do so.

What happens to your Facebook page after you die? The issue is growing increasingly important as people record more thoughts and experiences online. Oklahoma was the first state to take action, passing a law last year requiring social networks to let family members access the account of a dead loved one. Facebook already has a system to report deaths. When the site learns that a member has died, it puts that person's account in a memorialized state.

When you defriend someone on Facebook there can be hurt feelings. KGO Social Media Expert, Peter Shankman, says there are plenty of real-life confrontation over defriending. On my radio show (KGO 810 Saturdays 1-4p) he suggested dodging all that drama by unsubscribing. When you unsubscribe the person's post no longer show up on your feed, but the unsubscribed person doesn't even know it. You don't have to read their diatribes nor deal with hurt feelings. Win-Win.

The White House has started the conversation on internet privacy. The goal, one click privacy protection. Consumers could say, 'stop following me' with one click. The bad news? There seems to be no rush to get a good deal for consumers. Still this is a good beginning to a conversation that should have taken place a decade ago.

Cracked.com has been reading the fine print on social media sites and you aren't going to like what they found: "... pretty much every social network has a clause written into their user agreements that allows them to use your pictures for commercial purposes. Specifically, the stipulations you agreed to state that you're granting these companies "worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to use, reproduce or distribute" your private photos. But they do make it a point to clarify that you still own anything you upload. Of course, that doesn't mean you're going to see a dime when they use that picture of you on the beach last summer in one of those "Obey this one rule for a flat stomach!" ads (and not in the good way, Flabby). But still, you totally own that picture. Meaning they won't sue you if you use it elsewhere. See? What are you worried about?" .

An old scam is making another run around the internet, the 'Facebook dislike button'. We can 'like', so why not 'dislike'. Sounds good to you, but not to Facebook so it is unlikely to happen. That however has not stopped the bad guys from continuing to post about the dislike button and explain how if you. "just fill out this survey" you can get one too. It is a scam, plan and simple and it keeps coming back to rope in the new folks on Facebook.

Ever notice that all the businesses reviewed by "people just like you and me" are all above average? How could that be? Many are made up, and now the problems is only going to get worse as business owners stop faking their own reviews and hire marketers to do it for them.
