Good morning. We're blogging live this morning from the Apple event at San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts where the iPad 2 is expected to be unveiled at 10:00, Pacific time. Huge media crowd has turned out for the event. So many rumors about whether CEO Steve Jobs will be here. There's some speculation he might "show up" in a demo of Facetime if the iPad 2 indeed has a front-facing camera.
A who's who is here. John Doerr, arguably the best known and most famous venture capitalist in Silicon Valley, just said hello to me as he fought the media crowd waiting to get inside. Ron Johnson, Apple's VP of retail stores, also squeezed by me and said hello. Johnson has had an incredible run as he rolls out retail stores across the world with amazing success. Apple makes over half of its revenue from overseas sales.
We'll have updates all morning long. Stay tuned!
